yes, i use this way only for test.

anyway in another test process i upgraded OTRS, then i upgraded manually the official extensions like FAQ and last ITSM; the process works fine, the index portal was loaded correctly, but the application dont' work, for example when i try to close a ticket next ...

Thanks for your tip, anyway in this process (as i previously explained) the install or upgrade of ITSM packages produce an incompatibility of framwork version with this error:

# /opt/otrs/bin/otrs.PackageManager.pl -a install -p /root/otrs4/4.0.2/ITSM-4.0.2.opm
ERROR: OTRS-otrs.PackageManager.pl ...

Thanks for the tip,
the packeck size was too small, anyway after the change the process upgrade go in error in the same mode.

I used this order to upgrade ITSM packages:
1. GeneralCatalog - Installed correctly
2. ITSMCore - Error
3. ITSMIncidentProblemManagement - Error
4 ...

Upgrading error from 3.3.10 to 4.0.1

Hi,
today i've tried to upgrade OTRS with ITSM both at 3.3.10 to version 4.0.1 on Production server based on Centos 6.6.
I followed meticulously the official guide to make this operation: https://otrs.github.io/doc/manual/admin/stable/en/html/upgrading.html , without problems detected in process ...
