Re: Any plans to rename "otrs" to "znuny"?
Nice to hear, thanks for the insight. Can you already tell if the transition will be "seamless" meaning that an upgrade vom 6.x will be possible without exporting/reimporting anything?

Any plans to rename "otrs" to "znuny"?
Hello,
I´m just curious, although Znuny is based on OTRS, are there any plans to rename anything containing"otrs" to "znuny"?
Maybe someone knows something. I am aware that this is a huge change as it will break a lot of customized installations.
Thanks and best regards

Re: Are PostMaster filters applied to piped mails? (otrs.Console.pl Maint::PostMaster::Read)
This topic maybe answers my question: https://community.znuny.org/viewtopic.php?t=41407 You can still using the existing PostMaster Filter. Filtering with .procmailrc is an additional possibility. If I read correctly the PostMaster filters are applied and even the queue mappings from the System Emai...

Are PostMaster filters applied to piped mails? (otrs.Console.pl Maint::PostMaster::Read)
Hello, are PostMaster filters applied when you pipe mails into Znuny with procmail like so (ref: https://doc.znuny.org/doc/manual/admin/6.0/en/html/email-settings.html#email-receiving-cmd): :0 : | $SYS_HOME/bin/otrs.Console.pl Maint::PostMaster::Read My thought is that if this is possible I can simp...

Re: Questions: Disable customer creation for e-mail/delete spam customers
I partially answer myself:
I misunderstood how customers and customer users are working. My current understanding is that no customer user or customer is created by default so that deleting the ticket is enough and no debris remains.
If I am wrong please correct me.

Questions: Disable customer creation for e-mail/delete spam customers
Hello, is it possible to not create a customer when creating a ticket from a received e-mail? (my guess is no) Secondly I read about handling spam by putting it in the "Junk" queue and then use the GenericAgent to delete those tickets. My understanding is that this might delete the tickets...

Re: Pipe from remote mail server (Postfix) into Znuny
Addition: I believe your advice encloses that I forward the mail to one mail address, for example otrs@domain.tld. But would it also work if I relay the mail to the Znuny Postfix server without accumulating to one mail address?

Re: Pipe from remote mail server (Postfix) into Znuny
Thanks again. Regarding procmail I was thinking about setting
for the Znuny Postfix server and then make queue assignments inside the .procmailrc file. Would that be sufficient?
Code: Select all
mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail -a "$EXTENSION"- 24 Nov 2022, 05:01

Re: Pipe from remote mail server (Postfix) into Znuny
Thanks for your answer. I am not sure if we mean the same. If I understand correctly I need to setup a second Postfix server on the Znuny machine?

Pipe from remote mail server (Postfix) into Znuny
Hello, I want to pipe mails from a remote Postfix server into Znuny. I found the corresponding section in the OTRS manual here: https://doc.znuny.org/doc/manual/admin/6.0/en/html/email-settings.html#email-receiving-cmd As the command $SYS_HOME/bin/otrs.

Über jeden Tipp, Stolperstein, How to, etc. etc. bin sehr dankbar! Aktuell liegt OTRS ...
