Re: Print sorting
It's been more than four years since this question was posted, but since I came to the forums with the same question, I'll provide the answer I found. Yes. It is possible. Here's how. Background: Sort order of the articles is set by the value of the system configuration property 'Ticket::Frontend::Z...

Re: Database Check stuck running initial web install - FIXED
Thanks, Roy, good to hear from you again after several years. I actually did re-create the database using the very command you suggested, but that did not get rid of the error. I tried to describe it accurately - as long as the default collation was utfmb4 and the default charset was utfmb4_general_...

Database Check stuck running initial web install - FIXED
Hello. I've been using OTRS for many years. Currently doing a test install of Znuny to do a new ticketing system Server Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Database Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.3.32-MariaDB Upon initial installation I could not get past the initial install script web page (hostname/ip)/otrs/installer.pl When I...

Re: Error in DBUpdate-to-3.3.pl
Yes, I understand that. I already upgraded from 3.011>3.1, then 3.1 to 3.2 successfully, as I stated in my post. On each of those two upgrades I also got my ITSM and other packages updated successfully, and used the Support Assessment applet in the Admin page to make sure I was green all the way acr...

Error in DBUpdate-to-3.3.pl
Greetings: I'm upgrading an old instance that's been running for 7 years. The prod box is OTRS 3.0.11 on an out-of-support Ubuntu 10.04 OS. I built a 12.04 downlevel box to begin the upgrades on so as to not move too far from the base. Upgraded successfully to 3.1 and then 3.2. The old MySQL instanc...

Re: Upgrade from 3.11 to 3.2 Latest on test system
Thanks much - that script did not complete properly. The "otrs.dynamic_field" table doesn't exist, and this causes an error when I attempt to execute the script. I will restore the database again and attempt to run the sql script on a clean backup database.
Thanks for your reply,
Rob

Upgrade from 3.11 to 3.2 Latest on test system
Greetings: We have a production instance of OTRS running in the Amazon Cloud which runs perfectly. I would like to upgrade it to the latest version. In order to get it up to 4.x, if I understand correctly, I need to upgrade first to 3.2, then to 3.3, and then we can jump directly to 4.latest. The AW...

ticket_state_id = 1 (new)
Greetings: I have seen several tickets that seem to be stuck in ticket_state_id = 1 (new), even when moved to another queue, locked for working, notes added. I have been able to get them out only by directly changing the ticket_state_id to 4 (open). It doesn't seem to happen too often, yet in our fa...

Hello to the group - newbie
Greetings to the group. I'm an OTRS newbie - I own a small technology services company servicing small businesses. We previously used a proprietary helpdesk system with integrated monitoring. It was built on a Windows JBOSS stack and was a terrible resource hog that would just barely run on an Amazo...
