Thank for the last comment @crythias, it triggered a thought about the SMTP relay on my new Exchange 2010 server, I amended the persmissions on the Authentication tab and it's now working as normal.

I've checked each of those options, I can telnet on port 143 to the Exchange 2010 server and send a test message, both the HelpDesk server and the Mail server are on the same subnet with no software/hardware firewalls in between, IMAP is set with Basic Authentication. I ran otrs.PostMasterMailbox.pl -f and amended crontab.txt to check for mail every 3 minutes instead of 1. If I email the ITServiceDesk mailbox nothing automatically gets logged, if I try a manual "Fetch Mail" the internet explorer window goes blank with a white background so I have to clo...

What are my options moving forward? Possibly POP3 or am I likely to have the same problem? What route does everybody else usually take in a windows based environment using Exchange 2010? I'm happy to look at the Linux options.

I was only using IMAP as that was what worked in the first place, I don't mind not keeping the emails.
You mentioned procmail earlier but I couldn't see any notes on how to set it up?

I manage the Exchange 2010 server internally myself. Is IMAP not compatible with 2010 as I'd rather continue to use that method if at all possible?
