Hello.
How to change: find a Lost Password using a user's E-mail address instead of the username?
Thanks.

I would suggest to use the email address as username.
Otherwise you will also need a procedure for "lost username".

Re: How? Find 'Lost Password' using Email not Username
Thanks gig0069.
What if they change their E-mail address such that they no longer can receive E-mail replies/notifications from OTRS especially since they don't have the ability to change their own user profile data? I guess I could add an FAQ to suggest that they send a login change request. I prefer they not create a 2nd account.
Suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

1. They can change their email address in their profile, but still use their old email address as login. If they want to change their login, they can create a ticket "please change my login"otrswannabe1 wrote: What if they change their E-mail address such that they no longer can receive E-mail replies/notifications from OTRS especially since they don't have the ability to change their own user profile data? 2. They can create a new/second user, both users can become members of the same company. So they can see their old tickets in the company tickets tab. This also works if somebody uses sometimes one address and sometimes another address (because there is jus one field for the email address).

Thanks for your reply, giga0069.
How can the email address be added to Customer Preferences?
Thanks.
