automatic update CI incident states linked to tickets

Hi,

I understand that these incident states on configurable items can only have automatic updates via system monitoring. This is not suitable for our needs. Can anyone suggest how this could be done via the generic agent.

I want to change the incident state from 'operational' to 'incident' when a ticket is linked which is of type #incident and when linked to a #service ticket, use the 'warning' state or create a new state called 'in service' fro this purpose. Of cource once the ticket is closed the incident state should be changed to 'operational'.
