Install Apache V. 2.4 on OTRS 3.0.X

I'm experiencing several apache related issues, now to the point where it has become a real pain.

I was wondering if its possible to uninstall/reinstall ONLY the apache? Or maybe even to install the latest version on a straightforward way, I mean, just using the installer and baking up the configuration files?

Forgot to mention, I'm using a Windows 2008R2 with OTRS v 3.0.7
OTRS V 3.0.7 Windows 2008 x64 going for 3.1.7
OTRS 3.1.12 on LINUX UBUNTU SERVER
