Hi,
I am new to OTRS and was asked by a client to install on his Windows Server (Win 2012).
I used the Windows installer and managed to get it up and running until the installation page. I was given a username and password after I did the installation...so far so good...however when I tried to use the credentials that I was given I'm not being redirected to the dashboard.
The username and password are correct since when trying to log with a different password I get the following error "Login failed! Your user name or password was entered incorrectly. " So to my understanding credentials seems to be fine.
Tried to reset the password a number of times and reinstalled OTRS however to no avail...
The Version of OTRS installed is 3.3.8 and ActivePerl 5.16.3.1604.
I have also attached to log file to check.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
David

Re: Cannot log into OTRS
yeah, it is a weird behaviour of OTRS when using perl.exe as *.pl handler in IIS, you should switch to PerlEx..and since you got installed ActivePerl 5.16.3.1604, you should go back to 1603 build(see viewtopic.php?f=62&t=25238#p101532)
however, a workaround for your issue would be this:
go to: http://yourdomain.com/otrs/index.pl?Act ... sword=root

Re: Cannot log into OTRS
Hi Esteban,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Much appreciated...
I installed an older version of active perl...still I couldn't log in.
Configured IIS to use PerlEx and still couldn't log in.
So I entered the URL as suggested in your reply (as follows) and managed to log in...
http://localhost/otrs/index.pl?Action=L ... ord=xxxxxx
I will proceed with some debugging from my end...however if you have other suggestions you are more than welcome
Thanks again...
Best regards,
David

Re: Cannot log into OTRS
Hello dvella,
Please let me know if you found any solution for this. I am facing a similar problem where upon entering correct root@localhost and password, it just loops back to login screen and does not forward to dashboard.
1. Based on the suggestions I tried installing the 1603 build of Perl
2. Tried Lower Versions of OTRS like 3.3.5
No luck.
Thanks,
