Problem with network config, initial setup, VirtualBox...

I'm following the installation instructions on http://otrs.github.io/doc/manual/applia ... index.html for installation of OTRS Appliance on VirtualBox.

We are 3-4 developers who now have a support@ email account shared which has worked OK with the low amount of support questions and the natural divisions between the developers according to application. I suspect this will not work so well in the future: We are spreading the knowledge on the applications from one developer to 2-4 and a new application to be released in the autumn (and others to follow) will surely increase the inflow of support mails.

So I thought I should examine this OTRS solution and for now install it on my 64-bit Windows machine. I have dowloaded and installed VirtualBox and am installing OTRS Appliance in it, using the values suggested in the instruction. However, I don't know how to get the network interface to work. I have tried both dhcp and static (http://otrs.github.io/doc/manual/applia ... 03s08.html) but no go. If I try with dhcp network restart fails. Trying manually set a static IP doesn't let me access that /otrs/index.pl URL from another machine.

One possible problem I can think of is that our internal network use the 10.15.xxx.xxx address space, while OTRS (or is it VirtualBox?) only seem to like the 192.168.xxx.xxx address space. Can this have something to do with my problems?

Does anyone have a similar setup that works?
