Error connecting DB at installer.pl

Hi,

fresh setup. Windows 2012R2, all latest updates.
Active Perl 5.16.3.1604 32 bit
mysql community 5.6.20.0 (server type setup)
otrs 3.3.8 win installer 3.0.6

Installed all required perl modules.
otrs.checkmodules.pl says everywhere OK except DBD::Oracle (no oracle client installed) and Encode::HanExtra (no chinese support needed)

At installer.pl, step1 - new database: I enter the root password, then comes:
"Message from webpage - An error occured! Do you want to see the complete error message?" OK/Cancel
OK: "Message from webpage - Error during AJAX communication. Status: parseerror, Error: SyntaxError: Invalid character"


I already tried to create the database manually, imported all the db scripts, entered DB connection settings into the config.pem. Then the otrs.checkdb.pl also says connected. Still at the installer.pl and chosing existing database, the same error. The index.pl deliveres an empty webpage.

Reinstalled a few times already - same thing everytime.
Any ideas?

ok. got this fixed.

reinstalled everything again, now the installer.pl was working and db got created successfully.
but ran into another problem -> other post
