On topic: Did your system run out of disk space? Are tables marked as crashed? Do you have backups?

Afternoon

Answers on your questions:

Yes I did run out of disk space.
I am not sure about the tables that crashed.
Yes I have backups.

:)

Will it help if I purge events from the database older than 1 year and if yes
how will I go about doing that?

Regards

Hannelie

You should check tables in your database and repair them.

Note that your tables are likely crashed so repair may truncate them to a point of repair. This doesn't mean your tables will be empty, just possibly reduced in size.

The only one who can answer your question is you within your environment.

Thank you for your input.

My only problem is, i am not a DBA so i do not have the knowledge to repair the tables so that I do not carry this empty ticket till Kingdom come in my ticket queue as a open ticket. It is going to influence my stats at the end of the month!

If one ticket is going to throw your stats off that much, you may have worse issues than can be addressed herein.

That said, a major search engine has information how to check and repair your tables even if you aren't a dba. This isn't a forum for that. Check error logs for other reasons that you might be having this issue, search for ways to repair your database or hire someone to assist you or revert your backup (at your own risk and risk tolerance).
