Translations not visible after switch to Linux

I was recently allowed to transfer my OTRS to CentOS 6.5 +MySql :). I copied my custom dtl files as well as custom language files. However, after the move the custom translations do not work.
We had changed "neues Telefon-Ticket" in German to "neues Telefonticket". But this change is not reflected on the ticket screen. I restarted the apache server, mysql and deleted OTRS cache, yet no success.

What could be the reason?
OTRS 3.3.x (private/testing) on Windows Server 2008 with MSSQL database.

check capitalization of file name. Confirm it's the _Custom.pm for the language.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

The capitalization is correct. However, I had copied the file from another OTRS setup. Deleting this file and creating a new one solved the problem. I can't quite follow why, but main thing it is working.

mostly it is a permission problem. Please check file permissions.
