I have tried for the past two days to fix this error/issue but I have had absolutely no luck. I have searched Google and this forum and I still don't have an answer. I have tried the "solutions" that have apparently worked for others but they have not worked for me. The error details I keep getting are as follows:

Can someone please help me? This is a showstopper for me and I might have to look for another ticketing system if I can't get simple e-mail notifications and replies setup the right way.

Is a firewall active? Did you check its settings? Did you check that the mail is received by the mail server? Are there any other messages in the logs? Did you check if you can connect from OTRS server to mailserver on commandline?

Hi Reneeb,

How are you? Thank you for your quick response. Yes I checked all of those things. I figured out the problem. I needed to setup an "Application Specific Password" in my Google account. I am going to now check with Yahoo and see what the system does. My ideal scenario would be that it works with my personal Yahoo account.
