Creating new dashboard item to watch particular queue

Post by jnelson »

Hi all,

I've been trying to setup a forced new Dashboard widget to monitor one particular queue. I've edited the ticket.xml file and added the following (custom field changed to XXCUSTOMXX for this post). The queue I'm trying to monitor is "Internal::XXCUSTOMXXAlert". The widget shows up, but it will not populate the list with the tickets in that queue.

Code: Select all

<ConfigItem Name="DashboardBackend###0140-TicketAlert" Required="1" Valid="1">

Parameters for the dashboard backend of the new XXCUSTOMXX Alert tickets overview of the agent interface. "Limit" is the number of entries shown by default. "Group" is used to restrict the access to the plugin (e. g. Group: admin;group1;group2;). "Default" determines if the plugin is enabled by default or if the user needs to enable it manually. "CacheTTLLocal" is the cache time in minutes for the plugin. Note: Only Ticket attributes and Dynamic Fields (DynamicField_NameX) are allowed for DefaultColumns. Possible settings: 0 = Disabled, 1 = Available, 2 = Enabled by default.

        <Group>Ticket</Group>
        <SubGroup>Frontend::Agent::Dashboard</SubGroup>
        <Setting>
            <Hash>

Kernel::Output::HTML::DashboardTicketGeneric

XXCUSTOMXX Alert

XXCUSTOMXX Alerts

State=open;Queue=Internal::XXCUSTOMXXAlerts

All

Age

It won't break anything for you to answer that question yourself :).

It's funny you said that...cause I actually tested it out right after saying that lol.

Ok so I got it to work however the tickets won't go into that queue list unless they have an owner or are responded to. Here's the code I ended up with in case anyone else wants to use it. NOTE: To find out the QueueID value run this in your SQL box:

SELECT * FROM queue

Code: Select all

<ConfigItem Name="DashboardBackend###0140-TicketAlert" Required="1" Valid="1">

        <SubGroup>Frontend::Agent::Dashboard</SubGroup>
        <Setting>
            <Hash>

Kernel::Output::HTML::DashboardTicketGeneric

XXCUSTOMXX Alert

XXCUSTOMXX Alerts

StateType=open;Queue=11

All

Age
