We noticed that you are not able to search over attributes of CIs that are of type "CIClassReference". The search always returns all values and does not filter for the search string.

That's a known (and intented) behaviour and will be configurable in one of the next releases. However, this behaviour was explicitely wanted by some customers which contributed financially to this extension. So right now it's doing what it's supposed to do .

they just wanted it that way - that's it.

EDIT:

no wait - they used an extension which allows searching for identically named CI-attributes over multiple CI-classes. The difference between the attributes was that they refered to different ci classes. So searchin over all was the easiest and accepted solution.
