Shift Planning / Employee Scheduling

Post by srx308 »

Hi everybody,

we are now using OTRS since a long time for our company's 24/7 customer hotline support.
Our empoyees work in shifts. To plan the shifts, we currently use MS Excel. ... yes.. that's crappy..
We don't like this shift planning solution. Also, we need to professionalize our department.
Centralizing our tools is one thing of that professionalisation.

The longer the speech, the less thought - we think about doing our shift planning in OTRS.

Maybe somebody has a little food for thought for me? I really don't know how to do that. Is there something we can use?
(Some Framework or js libraries.... anything we can use to integrate a shift planning function into OTRS)

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Florian

Hi,

I developed a Handover module as a shift planning. it works in combination with a couple of generic agent jobs.

this module in an action that only the onwer or responsible can action.

this handover module will let you to write a note, enter spent time, copy people, let you to modify dynamic fields and it will be shown in ticket zoom as a red article with a "Handover" title so every body can recognize it, also a specific agent notification is sent to a user if you want.
