Is there a best practice guide for migrating away from the OTRS:ITSM appliance onto a vanilla install of RHEL6?

It'd be the same as disaster recovery.
Backup/Restore database appropriately (your data is your responsibility).
Follow the rest of instructions as if you're Upgrading.

OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
