OTRS Web Installer

Dear all,

I'm planning to install OTRS 3.3.13 on Windows Server 2012 R2, now i know that this is an old version however I need this to be installed in a Windows environment and this is the only option available so far.

Now before actually installing the system on the server I tested the installer on a Windows 7 machine, the following tasks were performed;
Installation of Active Pearl 5.16
Installation of OTRS 3.3.13

The installation completes successfully, however the first time you open the installer its stops on Create Database; it says that database is already created. I tried to login into OTRS itself and it allows you to with the default credentials root@localhost/root. Can I just start configuring the system from sysconfig? And if the otrs database was created during the installation, what are the credentials?

If I want to reset OTRS and start from scratch using the wizard how do i do so? How can I delete the otrs database itself?

Don't Start with old and unsupported Software. If you can not support a Linux based Environment use the cloud instead

Thanks for your feedback, but at the moment I have no other option, not to mention that I'm not a linux guru yet so it will be harder for me to troubleshoot. Why the Windows version has been dropped?

In the meantime I managed to solve the problem and will post the solution here in case anyone needs this.

Installed MySQL Workbench
Deleted OTRS database
Run web installer and worked fine
