Everytime the system does an email fetch i get these errors appear in the log, but the emails come through and otrs is functioning as expected. Does anyone know what they mean or how to stop them or can I keep ignoring them?

Do you recieve mails via IMAP or POP3? Then you should deactivate the Fetchmail jobs in SysConfig.
