Merge Tickets having the same subject

Dear Sirs,

Please note that we installed the otrs 5 Ticketing System and its working very fine.
But we are facing a small issue that we are not able to solve.
The problem is that we are not able to merge/Followup tickets having the same Subject.
Please note that the merging/Followup is working very good when there's a TicketID in the subject, but this won't suits our requirements.
Kindly advise if there's a way to do the above procedure.

Merging tickets with the same subjects is bad design and has a huge risk to merge wrong tickets. So OTRS does not have a build in functionality for this

Please note that we have a monitoring system that sends emails of the issues.
the problem is the the issue can occur many times , so it will create many duplicated tickets of the same issue.
is there a way to display only the distinct ticket subjects?
