How to remove [ ] in e-mails?

I have a simple question but haven't found any solution yet.

I customized the Ticket Hook (Ticket::Hook) via Sysconfig (and the ticketnumber via a custom number generator) and it works, but i want to get rid of the [ ] in the e-mails that get sent to the customers.

So an email sent to the customer should have the subject like:

Job 1700010 my inquiry

and not

[Job 1700010] my inquiry


I haven't found a SysConfig entry to remove it, can you give me a hint?
