Hello,
is there a simple way to stop OTRS vom fetching mail during a regular period of time?
I would like to stop it because each night when our Exchange-Servers restart to apply updates I get error messages for about ten minutes.

Hello Christian,
not as far as I know but you could create a second cronjob which stops/starts the OTRS daemon at certain times.

Then don't forget to change the watchdog cronjob that regularly checks if the daemon runs...

Couldn't you change the "Daemon::SchedulerCronTaskManager::Task###MailAccountFetch" (or the appropriate fetch for your case like fetchmail, etc) cron type configuration to exclude the times/days your server is undergoing maintenance?
