Hello,
we are about to upgrade to otrs 7 and we right now are using Centos 6.7
I know about some software requirements https://doc.otrs.com/doc/manual/install ... index.html# but im not sure about the SO. One OTRS tech guy said that Perfl 5.16 means Centos 7 or higher, what do you think about that?
I guess will be better to update our SO to the newest version but we have some corporative restrictions for that and our guys would like to skip updating the SO. Also, from our point of view would be better to make upgrade in the same machine and not prepare a centos 7 template to move all otrs files and guess if will be working properly
Any idea?
Thank you!

Hi,
The software requirements you'll find here
https://doc.otrs.com/doc/manual/install ... quirements
Perl 5.16 minimum. If you get all the modules and requirements installed, you can use any linux based OS.
It also runs on FreeBSD for example
It is recommended that you use latest stable OS. Ask the vendor for help if needed. In any case you can not get OTRS 7 in a community edition right now. Vendor will help you migrate.

Hi, I recommend definitely to use a newer version of CentOS. Anyway, this forum does not cover OTRS 7 as long there is no Community Edition available. Check these topics with the vendor, you pay for it.

I'm in the process of installing OTRS using V. 6.0.25-01. Is there a community version of 7?
If so where can I download it?
