OTRS DB Size and Attachments

Hi All,

We are running OTRS 6.0.26. Earlier we were using OTRS 3 and we migrated to 6 this year.

The attachments are stored in OTRS_HOME/var/article and the size is 58GB

I also see the size of DB under /var/lib/mysql which is 23 GB.

What i noticed is that the filesystem size has doubled from OTRS 3 to 6 upgrade. Is this something we can finetune?

Hello Krishna,

Your FS shouldn't double in size from an update.
Check if your combined databases are also ~23 GB (could be large logs, claimed space by InnoDB, or something else).
