Could use some advice. Our company is stuck with OTRS 5.5 since Ubuntu 14 (Old System). I want to keep all the tickets/users/permissions/automation in our current OTRS and move to Ubuntu 24 and Znuny 6.5 (new system).
Now the old system uses Myslq 5.5, New system has MariaDB?
I could use some advice on the upgrade path. I tried to backup/restore from the Old System to the new Ubuntu 24 server with MariaDB and OTRS 5.5 (to minimize changes) only to find the users there, but the users were no longer in any of their groups, automations weren't there (ticket notifications), no email filters, and some other things missing. I thought as long as the database transfered over, all the settings should be there.
Any advice on proper upgrade path?

Re: need upgrade path
Hi,
The database would be my least concern, this usually works fine. I'm just wondering which version you use, because there is not OTRS 5.5 that I know of.
The upgrade path for OTRS 5/5s would be:
OTRS 5 => Znuny LTS 6.0 => Znuny 6.1 => Znuny 6.2 => Znuny 6.3 => Znuny 6.4 => Znuny 6.5

Re: need upgrade path
PRODUCT = OTRS
VERSION = 5.0.27
BUILDDATE = Tue Mar 6 04:21:28 CET 2018
BUILDHOST = otrsbuild.otrs.com
I agree, I'm not too concerned with the database,I'm more concerened with the OS. Upgrading the OS was not practical. No good way to go from Ubuntu 2014 to 2024. So created a new VM with Ubuntu 2024 and by default it came with Mysql8. I learned here that our current OTRS is not compatible with mysql8 and so took that out and put in MariaDB. Migrated all the data and installed recovered the OTRS to the new server only to have a few issues as mentioned above.
You suggest I install an old MySQL version and clone the original OTRS to the ubuntu 24 server then upgrade the codebase before touching the database?
