RHEL 6 support

Post by ptay »

Anyone have an idea on when 3.x RPM will be provided for RHEL 6?

Thanks Jojo. I can "try" RHEL version 4 & 5 of RPM as I haven't done that yet. I was curious if there was a timeline on officially updating page for RHEL 6 OS support either by adding 6 to current RPM or having an additional RPM. In this particular server I can downgrad RHEL 6 to 5.5 if needed but prefer 6. I will try 4/5 RPM next week on 6.

Installation of otrs-3.0.3-01.noarch.rpm for RHEL 4 & 5 installed without any errors on "Desktop" default install of RHEL 6 box.

I also updated the server so Admin > Support Assessment is showing all green.

I'll find out over the next few weeks if anything doesn't work. If all goes well I'll update the CentOS 5.5 installation steps on OTRS wiki as I used the same walk through.

Upgrading OTRS from 3.03 to 3.04 fails on RHEL6 due to a dependency check. I override the dependency & now I can't log into web UI as an agent & get a pop up error about missing core.ui.datepicker. As I need to deploy system soon I chose to install RHEL 5.5 & use the appropriate RPM. Once OTRS supports RHEL 6 officially I'll migrate at that time.
