[SOLVED] Ticket::Type values

Post by HervE »

Hi,

Just found out there was a Ticket::Type property (I did it with a free text field before).
Unfortunately, when I activate it, the only available values in the dropdown list are "-" (which is actually not a accepted value) and "default".

Where can I set/modify these values? I searched in admin guide, in this forum, and in Kernel folder, but found nothing.

Regards,
HervE

If ticket type is a required field, the free text is a better option.

Thanks to you both.

jojo: Very good. (I thought Type in the admin interface was state types, for some reason.)

crythias: Why is free text a better option?

because you can require the freetext entry, but not the ticket type.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I have just tested the following:
-manual creation of a ticket (mail) requires type
-manual creation of a ticket (phone) requires type
-incoming mail of a ticket fills type with default value (I think it is the 1st one keyed)

Which is fine for me.

thats correct behavior...

you should rename the default type to "not assigned"

I renamed the default value as my default value, which is "Support" (the other one being "Information").

Thanks.
