Chrome ITSM 3 Beta 1 Config Item New Entry Not working

I fill in all the appropriate information for a new item in Config Item for ITSM 3 beta 1 with OTRS version 3.0.5 and when I hit submit, the page refreshes briefly and takes me right back to the same new item page with the information boxes filled up, but no new item.

I tested the entry of all the same information with Internet Explorer 8 and it works perfectly fine. I'm using Google Chrome ver. 8.0.552.237

EDIT:
Also, when pulling up an item already entered with Chrome to edit the item, it won't accept the edit.

And a secondary question

With the new version of ITSM 3 Beta 1 and OTRS 3.0.5 is it possible to generate a ticket against hardware in our Config Item section? If so, would we create a ticket similar to creating a ticket for a user?
