Hello,

I think it would be nice to have one or two extra fields in Customer for alternate email address, and that this alternate email address is scanned as well as main address to identify a customer as the author of an incoming mail.

It occured to me that a customer wrote from the email address of his company, then from a webmail address, and then from another webmail address again!

Do you think it's a thing I could suggest as a new feature... unless it was already requested??

This can be achieved by using the 'CustomerCompany' feature. Get through the manual it is very well documented.
There also is an option of 'customer_user_id' and 'customer_user_ids'. The latter combines customer user ids to one customer. Check these parms out and give it a try.

If you are talking of "CustomerCompanySupport", I have already enabled it.

As far as I have understood, customer_user_ids is the way to allow a customer user to be linked to several customer companies.
That is not what I want.
I need to have one customer user record, with one customer_user_id (i.e. linked to one company only), but having several email addresses.

Possible as is, or new feature to be requested?

Hi

Try this, it is for v2.4.x but should work on v3. I did try this successfully on 2.4.x.

When I had thre differnet emails, sending from any - OTRS did assign to the correct cusotmer account and when replying selected the default email address.
