I am working on a project to implement OTRS initially for Request Fulfillment. One of the requirements is to generate a new request on a a regular basis to act as a reminder for the Service Desk team to do something. So we would need to define a template and get OTRS to generate the ticket on a weekly, monthy, quartly or yearly basis.
I thought we could use the gerneric agent to do this, but this only seems to work on existing tickets.
any ideas? I thought about using the mail account to create a script to send a new email
