[SOLVED] Ticket Search in OTRS3

Post by HervE »

Hello,

As I have just migrated from OTRS 2.4.9 to 3.0.6, I am discovering the changes and new features.
On the whole I am satisfied with the new version.

But one strange thing is the new Ticket Search function.

It has been drastically simplified! Which could be a good thing, but:
1. It does not automatically remembers the last search.
2. When I search for instance the attribute State, there is no listbox of it, I have to key the state name completely (which is a lack of time... letting out the risk of misspelling!)
3. I'm afraid it doesn't work properly, because I searched for attribute State, fulltext=removed, and it gave no ticket... although there is indeed a removed ticket. Is this a bug?
Same goes with search on CustomerID, Queue, whatever...

As a result, I am very disappointed by this new Search function. Is it possible to install the previous one inside OTRS3?

Or maybe I didn't understand how it works??
Am I dumb? :)
You can answer 'yes' and explain why :) I won't be angry!

Regards,
HervE

YES I am dumb!

...But not that much, because I found myself what I didn't understand. (Let's say I wasn't very fresh last Friday, maybe.) :)

OK, so Fulltext field has nothing to do with the "Add another attribute": to add another attribute, I have to choose it then click the + sign on the right. Then the dreamed-of listbox appears, and the result of the search is correct!

Good: I can keep OTRS version 3 :D
