No SASL mechanism found

Hi,

I'm having trouble configuring the OTRS to send emails.
OTRS is installed on a dedicated computer on our network. The server is Windows Server 2008 with with MS exchange 2010.

I've set the email upto SMPT with all the correct authentication for our server. However, when ever I try to send an email from OTRS I get this software error:

No SASL mechanism found
at C:/PROGRA~1/OTRS/OTRS/Kernel/cpan-lib/Authen/SASL.pm line 77
at C:/Program Files/OTRS/StrawberryPerl/perl/lib/Net/SMTP.pm line 143

I've checked all the modules are present using otrs.CheckModules.pl script.
I've tried uninstalling OTRS & reinstalling but this make no difference.

Can someone please help me in this problem?

Hi Crythias,

I've managed to resolve the problem. The basic problem was that the server for the OTRS system wasn't configured on the exchange to relay mail.
