Upgrade to 3.0 - SendMail Not Working Correctly

So as a result of upgrading to 3.0, I'm having some issues. First of all, I ran:

>otrs.MarkTicketAsSeen.pl

And it claims to have marked all tickets as read. We're just now beginning to use this system, so it didn't have a whole lot of tickets to mark (37 I think it said). So then I start sendmail (CentOS is my OS) and it starts spamming madly (thousands of emails) everyone in the group root@otrs. We run out of memory stopping the sendmail service trying to get this stopped. Looking at the system log, I keep seeing entries:

Wed Apr 20 02:35:47 2011 notice OTRS-otrs.PostMaster.pl-10 LoopProtection!!! Send no more emails to 'root@otrs.lw-lmco.com (Cron Daemon)'! Max. count of 40 has been reached!

There seems to be some sort of loop going on. I notice in my sendmail log that the from address is <>, but don't think that is the issue as I don't see errors coming back to sendmail. This was working great in 2.4.
