WUI compatibility
Hi,
I just saw that OTRS 3.x has made it into Debian and wanted to upgrade,
when a cow-orker warned me about the new AJAX Web-UI.
I looked at demo.otrs.org and, indeed, it doesn’t work with Konqueror 3.5.10
from KDE 3. Is there any way to get the old UI back with OTRS 3, which has a
number of new features that would otherwise help us a lot? Preferably, this
would be configurable per user or session, but a global switch would be ok too.

Re: WUI compatibility
The whole technologie changed, so there is only a CSS/JS based frontend. Use Firefox, Chrome or Opera

Re: WUI compatibility
It works for me with reKonq, although it does seem to be a bit slower than Chrome and Firefox, so they're what I use. Tested in Konqueror 4.6.2 and that works as well.

Re: WUI compatibility
Yes, but that’s KDE 4, not KDE 3, which is a whole different beast.
Re: WUI compatibility
As I already said, these old browsers are not supported any more

Re: WUI compatibility
It’s an LTS OS…
Re: WUI compatibility
That means that the distributor for the OS supports this a long time. Not that all other software vendors will support this...

Re: WUI compatibility
Yes. (We plan to move our company workstations forward to some new Debian,
but for now, Kubuntu 8.04 with KDE 3 is what we use. And KDE 3 isn’t bad.)
