Update 3.0.6 => 3.0.10

Hi there,

I got some problems while upgrading to 3.0.10...

I followed the upgrade-notice ( http://doc.otrs.org/3.0/en/html/upgrading.html ) and the ZZZAAuto.pm - File, created from the system at my first visit after upgrade, has the wrong owner-group... Well that's easy and doesn't matters (chgrp and ok)

The next problem: no packages were installed, is it the correct way to reinstall all packages (like faq, support, itsm...) on every update? While reinstalling the next problems occur :-/ The same error while reinstalling FAQ/ITSM:

Software error:
not properly closed tag 'File'

Well - I switched to my snapshot taken before... but how can I upgrade to 3.0.10 without all those errors - or without the last ! I wonder, if all my changes for the packages were lost by reinstalling?

My first thought: the server is working too much - but 'top' told me, he was just idle - only one apache process - and <10% CPU <40% RAM...

There is nothing special on updates. Do not mix up UPGRADE and update!
Take the .tar.gz, copy its content over your OTRS installation, run otrs.SetPermissions.pl and otrs.RebuildConfig.pl and you´ll be good to go.
Next step is to login, start Package Manager and reinstall your packages and everything is fine. Except you made changes to your OTRS that were not packaged.

that's cool - that means I've to skip step 5 as well (only restore the three files Config.pm / GenericAgent.pm and ZZZAuto.pm)
If you need to do a "patch level upgrade", which is an upgrade for instance from OTRS version 3.0.3 to 3.0.4, you should skip steps 8, 9, 10, and 13 - 16.
