deleteing emails in /var/otrs

can i delete safely emails from /var/mail/otrs without having any incident. the file reaches aroung 1Gb.

otrs won't create these emails, so check whats the content (cron messages?) and decide yourself

Yes in fact those are cron messages since i'm retrieving user emails on one email address and i'm using cron to open tickets in otrs. that's what I'm asking for, could i safely delete these email without having any incidents on the history and the tickets already opened?
