IS OTRS INSTALLING ON CPANEL VPS IS A ROCKET SCIENCE..?

Hi All,

I was very much happy to see the features of OTRS and its capability.?! But very much disappointed on its flexibility to install

No documentation on installation on cpanel vps/hosted servers/ etc especially when you want to host OTRS in web using your domain.

Well I am unable to go to next step itself, I am not linux nor perl nor webdesign genius though I can manage it with documentation. But sincerely failed with OTRS install in my domain.

Can anybody help me on installation for the same..?! If necessary I can pay you.. LOL

Well I uploaded to my public folder, created opt folder extracted the files to in otrs which is under OPT and next i go to bin, click on cgi-bin I get an internal error ..

How should I solve this.?

How can there be 8500 customers when its so hard to install it on cpanel wherein I have root and ssh access and permission to all pl files are set to 777..?!

Whew.. Please guys help me on this. If you could atleast point out to step by step documentation that would be atleast good enough.

Hi,

OTRS is designed to run on "normal" servers. It will, depending on the amount of users using it, need a lot of system resources. So it should not be run on shared servers or servers with a lot of different domains.

CPANEL is for mass hosting... -> You see this combination will be bad!
