Automatic Email fetching is not working on linux ubuntu

Hello,I have a problem that automatic Email fetching is not working on linux ubuntu. However,It is working on Windows.
On Linux Ubuntu, I have to manually click fetch mail.Dose anyone have any idea on how to make automatic Email fetching working on linux?

You should set cron job for fetch mail.
