Moving set of tickets from one queue to another

I need to move a lot of tickets from one queue to another. Can this be done safely just by updating the queue_id column in the tickets table?

use the Generic Agent for this kind of operation
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
