migrating to new hardware and server name

i am migrating my current otrs 3.1 linux server to a new centos otrs 3.11 server. how to i migrate all my data over to the new server. will a mysql dump work? is there an import/export feature built into otrs to export all the data from 1 database to the new database server?

please help.

I would do it like this:
- copy everything from old to new server
- database dump for mysql
- follow the UPGRADING procedure

A DB dump takes hours on huge installations.
Make sure mySQL stopped completely and copy the data files themselves.

haven't got this experience ("takes hours")
but copying files itself is also a way
