Ticket Searching and Dynamic Fields

Hi

Running 3.1.3. I modified my ticket template to include 2 dynamic fields for common problems (dropdown) and the systems (multiselect) that are affected with the problem. The problem i am having is when i try to search on these fields via the search window (i added the fields to be select-able attributes in search), no results are ever found unless I place a wild card value which results in all tickets? Any ideas to make these attributes return results?
