[SOLVED] Asset integration into Ticket

Hello,

I am trying to add a field that will allow me to associate the ticket with an asset. Is there anyway to do this?

This is done via linking CI and Ticket
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

klick on the Link Menu in the CI

When I click on Config Items and dont show any link menu

if you are in the CI Zoom there will be a Link menu

- select a config item
- click on the CI number

If you are new you should first read the documentation on http://doc.otrs.org

1. Login as agent.
2. Select CMDB in main menu
3. Select OverView in CMDB menu
3. Select needed Class of CI's
4. Select needed CI in displayed table
5. So you can see CI ZoomView
6. Menu Item Link in ZoomView
Also you can link CI to the ticket from Ticket Zoom by menu item Link
:)
View of screens in v.3.1.x somewhat different from manual (it describe ITSM 2.x) but you need to read it carefully - jojo quite right.
