Hello;
I am using OTRS 2.4.5 version. Due to large amount of data i'm storing articles in file system.
In file system also, the data size is increased very much and i found that for every article OTRS is creating one plain.txt file. I don't know the significance of this file and i have deleted this file for one article and i can see that article properly via OTRS ticket zoom.
Now, my question is:
1) Is plain.txt file is useful for ticket operations?
2) If i delete plain.txt file for all tickets will it create any problem in using old tickets (followup, closing, assigning etc.) or creating new tickets?
3) How can i stop creating plain.txt file for new tickets?
Actually I have issue with storage occupied by OTRS: If OTRS supports any compression formula that stores compressed articles and un-compress as and when need arise then it will be great for me.
