After otrs action, browser ask for download index.pl

Dear all,

we are runing OTRS 3.0.5 on Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS. Now and then we encounterd the effect when creating a ticket or changing the owner the browser asks to download the index.pl . Still the ticket was created or the owner change, only additional notes and accounted time were lost. First i thought we made a mistake but now it seems there is a problem with otrs rightsmanagment. the effect shows up every time we change the owner.... there no entries in the syslog and i really puzzeled about whole thing cause i have got full access with my otrs user.

Hope anyone got an idea.

I seem to be having the same problems as you with my OTRS installation. Were you able to resolve this? I would be very interested if you found a solution for this.

@perltac: Have you set the correct permissions for the files (e.g. by running bin/otrs.SetPermissions.pl)? It seems that many people forget this step when installing OTRS. If OTRS has no permissions to create file and so on...

So some of you config seems to be broken.

Check all Dynamic Field related settings in Admin area, especially in Sysconfig

Hi Guys,
I Solved my problem this way...

1 - Disabling mod_perl in httpd.conf, then, more details were logged in apache error log.
2 - I Saw, in my case that the problem was with the password to connect to the smpt server before to send the e-mail.
3 - I changed the password to the correct in the Sysconfig Painel > Core::sendmail, and everything worked fine..

Actually, your experience is consistent from what I have seen. This download of index.pl is usually related to inability to send notifications.
