Dashboard Graph

Post by emanjamin2002 »

Hello,

I just checked the forum for answers but I don't seem to find what I need :
I found the way to create statistics on the tab "Statistitics" but this is not what I am looking for.

Here is what I need and wanted to know if that could be done without having to go into the config files :
1. The dashboard, by default, shows the graph for opentickets and closed tickets on a daily basis.
2. I would like to have the following : 1 graph showing the ratio between the total number of opened tickets and closed tickets. Basically showing only the total number of tickets (cumilative number) opened and the total number of tickets closed (cumulative).

thank you.

There are a few posts around that deal with editing or adding to the dashboard graph:

viewtopic.php?f=61&t=9639&p=37743&hilit ... aph#p37743

It's not something I've attempted, but searching for "otrs 7 day graph" "otrs dashboard graph" etc on google and in the forum ought to turn up some (hopefully) useful things.

When you have 10,000 closed tickets and 5 open tickets, your ratio will be close to zero. Is that helpful information?
or,
If you have 10,000 tickets historically (ever opened), and 9,995 closed tickets, your ratio will be close to one.

You don't even need a graphic to tell you this.

:) Well that's right.
Well this question for one of my Operator. Right now it show how tickets are created daily and how many are closed daily. As the System has been up for about a week and he is imputting quite some backlogged tickets, he wants to follow up the cumulative numbers of opened tickets versus the number of closed ones.

I see you point. From my viewpoint, I think this is not really needed except - maybe for that specific operator who is mostly the one who is going to create tickets for the next few weeks.

Well, I don't think this is a priority on our project but wanted to check if there was a simple way to do it.

Thanks again.
