Email Problem

Hi Everybody!!!

I'm new OTRS user, and after instalation I used my profissional email for configure the administrator, and now, all my emails disappeared of my Outlook Inbox and just appear in Control Panel on OTRS.

I need recover all emails(750) for my Outlook Inbox, its possible?

What I need to do?

Ok... understand.

Now I have other question. How I can configure the OTRS system to send email, everytime that I try, appear this error:

- how did you configure outgoing email?
- firewall?
- did you try to connect from OTRS host to mail server using telnet?

I configured with a professional server mail using by enterprise. Has a Firewall here, but I created the rule to this service pass, and I look the Firewall and the service don´t stop in Firewall.

In OTRS Account Manager, I configured the mail with IMAP.

Then i'd suggest you test the connection by using telnet from otrs-server to mailserver
eg

Code: Select all

otrsserver:# telnet mailserver imap
and login with your username / password

does that work?

Perhaps you need to use SMTPS or TLS. And you perhaps need to authenticate with the SMTP server.

hello,

I am facing similar issue while configuring outbound email id with SMTP, could let me know how you solved this issue?

any changes needs to be done on OTRS side or Exchange side to make outbound email works with SMTP.

My issue has been resolved by creating seprate listener for OTRS in Exchange with no authentication.
