SystemMonitoring and OpenNMS

I have OTRS::ITSM 3.1.6. I have just installed the System Monitoring Module.
I noticed there is Nagios configuration built in.
Has anyone gotten this working with OpenNMS.
I need this.
If anyone can help I would appreacheate the assistance.

if you need it you should invest some money/time in a new interface from OpenNMS to OTRS (Generic Interface) as the old interface won't run with the 3.x versions of OTRS

I have requested a quote on a full OTRS/OPENNMS integration project from a group of developers but I haven't gotten a price yet. I was really hoping to get some help with the SystemMonitoring module so i can move forward. The documentation is very sparse.

the SystemMonitoring is analysing Mails. So if OpenNMS can send Mails on incidents and closing you can use this Modules
