Dear Team,

I have installed the OTRS software from OTRS portal. In "http://localhost/otrs/installer.pl", it is asking for general and mail settings. I tried to give the cmpany mail settings, but settings are not working. Can i skip that step, if I skip what will happen. I need to configure the mail settings through installer.pl only?

Please help me.

you can configure mail via sysconfig and mailbox settings in the admin panel also
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

Never change Defaults.pm! :: Blog

Please correct me if i was wrong with mail configurations. Because i am not getting notifications if i give the same settings as per the document.

I am expecting the mail notification to my company maill id about new ticket creation.
And I am not getting notification in "http://localhost/otrs/Customer.pl" also, once created a new ticket. It is showing under dashboard only.

as all your posts are based on your not working email setup please use only one of this posts and solve this issue first.
