Hello everybody,
I'm using OTRS 3.1.11 and i'm trying to insert a dimension tab in "email new ticket". I know that in this moment I have two possibilities:
I can configure "dynamic fields" or I can add entries in "aditional itsm fields". I have decided to edit "aditional itsm fields" because "dynamic fields" it's hard to configure.
The manual contains general instructions
http://doc.otrs.org/3.1/en/html/adminar ... ields.html
I want to know why in Sysconfig - Core:Ticket:Freetext appears now in "Deprecated" In order to be able to use Core:Ticket:Freetext I need to move it back on Ticket, is it possible to do that?

I wanted to insert entries in "aditional itsm fields" dropdown list http://oi50.tinypic.com/6537g4.jpg but when i'm trying o create a new email ticket I can't see the dimensions. Can someone help me with some hints/instructions?

Re: Defining dimensions in OTRS 3
Freefields were replaced by Dynamic Fields.
Did you setup your dynamic fields via admin console? For activating it the name of the field needs to be in value (not 1 like on your screenshot) and 0,1 or 2 needs to be in value in sysconfig.
Please also read: http://doc.otrs.org/3.1/en/html/dynamic ... ation.html

Re: Defining dimensions in OTRS 3
Thanks for your reply Jojo.
I want to rename the dynamic fields (one entry). In the manual is stated that "Any modification on field name (not recommended) will need manual a update on the "SysConfig" settings where the field is referenciated." Can you tell me what I need to type/edit in sysconfig in order to obtain this manual update?
Thanks,

Re: Defining dimensions in OTRS 3
on all places where you are referencing on the name of the dynamic field, you also need to change it.
