Hi,
we're running OTRS 3.1.12 and ITSM 3.1.7.
As a relative newbie to OTRS I came into the project after these systems had been installed. I've spent some time getting to know the system and making our ticket handling work in prototype (the system is not live).
I want to know what are the implications of uninstalling the ITSM packages?
I'd prefer to take the system live without ITSM in the first instance as it is not necessary to our operations at this time and it complicates things without providing a corresponding benefit to us. Once we have the system running for a while and have our ticket handling working as it should, then we will have time / space / funds to evolve into ITSM. At the moment I just want to get us doing the basics right.
Is it advisable to install a clean new OTRS system (and then have to repeat some of the configuration effort), or can I just uninstall ITSM packages and keep my current configuration?

We decided to go with a clean install. Thanks anyway.
